This is me, the friend you never knew you needed. I’m the girl who often ignores her own needs to help those around her. It’s a cloak I assumed in the throes of insecurity in middle school, when I thought helping people was the easiest way to fit in, and it’s a cloak I drew closer in college, when I realized that opportunities blossom out of relationships. Raised by an engineer and an artist, I feel equally at ease chatting to adults about automating manufacturing processes and/or the California impressionist revival.
I am the friend that will drag a pre-med student to a rapper’s album release party, I am the friend who will introduce a social media marketing expert to an amazing product engineer, I am the friend who will blend worlds together. I love building communities, but I don’t think you’d quite get that off the bat from me. I dabble in a lot of different things, which makes me an excellent candidate for the friend you never knew you needed.
I am currently dabbling in venture capital via a venture capital competition and I am quite enjoying my time and passion for exploring relationships. Some people simply don’t understand the importance of building strong teams to build strong companies.
So there it is, a bleary-eyed written six-word memoir & backstory. I’m looking forward to writing more for this blog.
**This is a blog for my RWS305W class at school, which is why it might seem a little out of the ordinary.
I think this is the first time I’m looking at your blog. I really like the layout, Paige. Your blog was great too.
Thank you Professor!
